Our Agreement

🐾  Rescue Commitment

We understand that life can be unpredictable. Financial hardships may arise, people may need to relocate, or a dog may develop a terminal illness. Whatever the situation, we will always welcome our dogs back—no matter their age. Whether your dog is 1, 5, or 10 years old, please reach out to us if you are no longer able to provide the care they need.

There is no additional cost for returning a dog. We will coordinate a time and place to pick them up and cover all transportation expenses. If you’re facing an emergency and need to rehome your dog quickly, please contact us right away—we will do everything we can to make prompt arrangements.

You may wonder why we offer this. There are three main reasons:

  1. We take great pride in our dogs.

  2. We strongly discourage abandonment. We do not support leaving dogs on the side of the road, surrendering them to shelters, or abandoning them under any circumstances when we can step in and help.

  3. Dogs deserve love and stability. Most pets rely entirely on their families for care, and we are committed to giving them the love and attention they need rather than allowing them to face an uncertain future.

Please note: At this time, we are only able to accept dogs that were originally purchased from us. In the future, we hope to establish a retirement home on our property specifically for Miniature Schnauzers in need of a safe and loving place to go.

🐶 Our Process When a Dog is Returned

Step 1: Quarantine & Initial Care
Upon arrival, the dog will immediately enter a quarantine period (unless urgent veterinary care is required). Quarantining protects both the returned dog and our resident dogs from potential illnesses while giving the new arrival time to adjust to their new environment.

Step 2: Veterinary Examination & Medical Care
The dog will receive a full evaluation from our licensed veterinarian, along with any necessary medical treatment—all costs are 100% covered by us.
If you have veterinary records for your dog, please email them to our vet. This information helps ensure the best possible care.

We will also schedule a spay/neuter surgery if the dog is healthy enough, as determined by our vet. If the dog has a serious underlying health issue and treatment is not a viable option, we will work closely with our veterinarian to make the most compassionate decision possible. Our love for dogs is unconditional, but we are also committed to preventing unnecessary suffering.

Step 3: Socialization & Integration
Once the dog has fully recovered and is cleared by our vet, we will slowly begin introducing them to our “fur family.” The length of this process depends on the dog’s previous socialization with people and other animals.

Because we raise and breed our dogs in our personal home, there may come a time when space is limited. If that day comes, we plan to open a Miniature Schnauzer retirement home on our property. This will not be a kennel-only environment—our retirees will continue to receive regular veterinary care, daily human interaction, socialization with other dogs, walks, outings with our family, and the love and attention every dog deserves.
